Mushrooms are super tasty, which is why we’re so happy that all varieties are allowed on Whole30. Mushrooms are vegetables, and therefore are totally compliant with the Whole30 program. They’re great in stir frys, soups, and other dishes.

Portobello mushrooms can also be great as bun substitutes, serving as a kind of Whole30 sandwich bread.

  1. You have made a big mistake mushrooms are not vegetables or fruits. They are fungus and it seems weird that when many people have fungus or mold allergies this would be allowed on The Whole30 diet
